We all have resilience within us. No matter what obstacles we find in our way, with the right tools, we can emerge from fear and pain and build a life with purpose and meaning. We all have times in our lives when issues arise involving depression, anxiety, grief, anger, addiction and recovery, parenting or marital problems. There’s help here for you.

I work with individuals, couples, families and children 10 and older.

INDIVIDUALS
I counsel adults, adolescents and children 10 and older dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, anger, addiction and recovery, career transition or learning differences. I also help individuals address the lingering effects of childhood and family trauma and find their way to peace and happiness.

COUPLES
Navigating a relationship isn’t easy. Financial disagreements, infidelity, parenting differences, or communication problems can push relationships to the brink. I work with couples together and separately to help them clarify their challenges and strengthen communications so that they can determine the best path forward.

FAMILIES
Today families come in all shapes and sizes and so do the issues they face. Family counseling helps you source those concerns and find solutions together in an environment that’s safe and nonjudgmental. I work with parents and their children 10 and older to provide parenting education and coaching on how to resolve conflicts and strengthen ties.

APPOINTMENTS
To set up our first 30-minute complimentary consultation, call me at 214-490-5062 or email me to make an appointment. The therapeutic relationship we develop is an important part of the counseling process.

SPEAKING
I am available to speak to groups of all sizes on a wide variety of subjects including parenting, grief recovery, addiction and recovery, and mindfulness in psychotherapy. Call me at 214-490-5062 or email me for more information.

LEIGH MANN
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I have a master’s degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I trained with Wayne Albrecht, director of the Pastoral Counseling Center of Dallas, where I worked before starting my private practice in July of 2015.

My life experience has been essential to my work in counseling. While being married, divorced, and navigating three sons through a constellation of accomplishments and struggles, I volunteered for eight years with Contact Telephone Crisis and Suicide Hotline. That work made me realize I wanted the opportunity to help people change their lives and avoid further pain and crisis. Along the way, I’ve learned that life is never simple, every challenge has value, and we are all intrinsically resilient.

I have completed additional training in the following areas:

  • Dialectical Behavior Training
  • Parenting with Love and Logic
  • Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
  • Certified Grief Recovery Specialist
  • Spiritually Integrated Counseling
  • Addiction and Recovery
